NATURAL GARNETS
Garnets belong to a mineral group with the same crystal structure but slighly different chemical composition.
Deep red garnet is most common, but this gemstone occures in a wide range of beautiful colours. In this category we offer various colored garnets of spessartite, rhodolite, pyrope, grossularite, almandite and hessonite.
Given their significance in the gemstone market, tsavorite and mandarin garnet are featured in their own dedicated categories in our shop.
Due to their high refractive index and a hardness of 6.5 to 7.5 on the Mohs scale, garnets are ideally suited for use in jewelry.
Garnet is the birthstone for January and the gem for the second wedding anniversary.
